Guo Ke, Chief Physician in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Wuhan Union Hospital, has been engaged in plastic surgery for more than ten years and has extensive clinical experience in breast plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is particularly skilled in immediate breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery (direct implant placement, tissue expander plus implant placement, and autologous flap breast reconstruction), breast reduction and mastopexy, nipple-areola complex plastic surgery and reconstruction, and implant-based and autologous fat breast augmentation. He was awarded the “Chinese Society of Plastic Surgery - Johnson & Johnson Ethicon Study Abroad Fund” to visit Harvard University, New York University, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for further study.

He has presided over one project each from the Key Support Project of the Hubei Provincial Health Commission, the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation, the Independent Innovation Fund of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and the Research Fund of Union Hospital. As a principal investigator, he has participated in one project each from the National Key R&D Program, the Public Welfare Industry Special Project of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, and the Key International Cooperation Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as two General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He served as deputy editor-in-chief of the monograph Breast Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, independently translated the monograph Atlas of Craniomaxillofacial Osteosynthesis, and contributed to the monograph Wound Repair Surgery. As first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 10 papers in domestic and international academic journals, 6 of which are indexed by SCI; he has been granted 1 national utility model patent.
